About this model
I named this snake Carly. It was my first Flexi model that I was able to successfully complete and print as a project. Of course, Carly is not the prettiest or greatest, but I don't want to keep it from you
I learned a lot from this 3D model, and in fact, for some, this is certainly a task of a few minutes. For me, however, it cost many hours of work. Basic model created with AI, into Nomad Sculpt and adjusted the model because the AI made too many mistakes! Proportions adjusted, wall thicknesses improved, orientation changed. Then out of Nomad Sculpt back into TinkerCAD to properly cut the model straight (I can't reliably do this with Nomad), back into Nomad Sculpt to model the connectors. Gave up after two hours, back to TinkerCAD, crafted a template for the cutout. Test print => Failed, back to the drawing board, errors eliminated, another test print, found that a wall was still too thin (you can see it in the photos, a hole remained), so back to the drawing board and fixed the error…
… long Story short …
My journey with Nomad Sculpt will still take a long time
Known Problems and Errors
Yes, I am aware that the curvature in the snake is not optimal and its flexibility is therefore limited. But for this project, I let that slide! All previously known errors have been corrected. In the print project, a support blocker was added so that the joints remain smooth, these are printable with no supports!
