🔧 Carbon Cleaning / Walnut Blasting Adapter – VW Audi FSI

This walnut blasting adapter was developed for cleaning the intake valves (carbon cleaning) on VW and Audi FSI direct injection engines. (We worked on the 4.2 FSI)

Due to direct injection, FSI engines are known for heavy carbon buildup on the intake valves, which can lead to rough idling, misfires, loss of power, and increased consumption.
The adapter enables clean and controlled walnut blasting by sealing the intake port and guiding the blasting nozzle precisely to the valves.

🔍 Precise Fit through Real 3D Scan

The intake ports were directly scanned on a real engine with a Creality Sermoon S1.
No theoretical CAD dimensions were used, but rather real geometries of the intake ports.

The result:

  • very precise fit in the intake port
  • better sealing during blasting
  • less loss of walnut shell media
  • more efficient and cleaner cleaning
