Boost Me (for free)

Did you know? MakerWorld gives out free Boost tokens to active users! These tokens can be used to support any model you love -- at no cost to you. You may not even know that you have Boost tokens. But they are a big help to creators. Please show your appreciation by boosting the models that you like.

Tired of small, overflowing purge bins, this modular flexible tube allows you to route waste directly into any container for uninterrupted long-term printing. By combining a secure mounting bracket with a customizable segmented design, you can easily adjust the length and angle of the chute to fit your specific workspace layout. It is the ultimate "set it and forget it" upgrade for Bambu users who want a cleaner, more efficient waste management system.

This is a “poop chute” or purge waste collection system that has been customized for use with the Bambu Lab P2S printer.

Here are some valuable features:

  • Infinite Customization: It has a segmented "link" design allows you to add or remove sections to reach a waste bin at almost any height or distance from your workbench.
  • Zero-Clog Geometry: The wide, rounded internal path of the segments prevents the "accordion" effect where purge poops occasionally snag on sharp corners or narrow bottlenecks.
  • Workspace Flexibility: Unlike rigid chutes, the articulated tube can be snaked around power cables, enclosure legs, or other tools sitting behind your printer.
  • Toolless Maintenance: Once the adapter is mounted, the tube segments easily snap together or apart, making it simple to clear a rare jam or adjust the routing without tools.
  • High-Volume Ready: By bypassing small, printer-mounted bins in favor of a floor-side box, you can run massive multi-color prints without worrying about a backup at the purge exit.

It includes these parts:

  • Mounting Bracket: This comes from Molodos' model P2, P1 and X1 Series Poop Bin (2 Sizes). The bracket screws into the back of your P2S. I reused the existing screws that my P2S already had in these screw holes. My understanding is that they are M3 screws. This bracket includes the female end of a dovetail that let's you attach the waste tube to the P2S. I did not change anything about this model. It is included in this collection (aggregation) in the interest of providing a complete solution.
  • Adapter Bracket: One end of this part has the male end of a dovetail that hangs on the mounting bracket. The other end attaches to the segmented tube. My contribution was to modify Victor's funnel (from Magnetic Poop Chute with Flexible Segmented Tube) to include dovetail parts that make it compatible with Molodos' bracket. I removed the magnet holes, reduced the size of the adapter, and added dovetail elements. This part prints standing up on the tube end. This reduces (but does not eliminate) supports. The supports should remove easily.
  • Segmented Tube. This part comes from J.P.'s Bambu lab segmented poop chute pipe. This part snaps onto the Adapter. You can also snap an unlimited number of these parts together, in order to route your waste tube wherever you need. The fit is tight. But each segment can still be articulated. I did not change anything about this model. It is included in this collection (aggregation) in the interest of providing a complete solution.

Although this solution articulates, no one piece has any moving parts. So you should probably be fine printing with PLA. I used PETG.

The main plate on the print profile includes a “starter kit” with a mounting bracket, adapter bracket, and four segmented tubes. The second plate includes just one segmented tube. The idea here is that you can tell Bambu Handy to print multiple copies when you print, so you get as many as you need. If you use Bambu Studio (which gives you many more options, I recommend manually copying and pasting. You can fit a lot more on the build plate than you get by using “Fill bed with copies,” which is pretty clumsy. “Clone” works pretty well. You should be able to get 9 on a 256x256 build plate using “clone.”

License Note: This project is an aggregation (collection) of separate components. Only the Adapter Bracket has been modified. The other parts are included in their original form to provide a complete solution. Because these files remain separate and are not "remixed" into a single mesh, they retain their individual licenses as listed below.

  • Modified Adapter Bracket: Derived from the "Magnetic Poop Chute with Flexible Segmented Tube" by Victor. This part is licensed under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 (Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike).
  • Segmented Tube: From the "Bambu lab segmented poop chute pipe" by J.P. This part is licensed under CC BY-NC 4.0 (Attribution-NonCommercial).
  • Mounting Bracket: From the "P2, P1 and X1 Series Poop Bin (2 Sizes)" by Molodos. This part is licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0 (Attribution-ShareAlike).

Note on Commercial Use: Because this collection contains parts with NonCommercial (NC) restrictions, the set as a whole (and the specific NC parts) may not be sold or used for commercial purposes.
