This model has 2 different versions. the flush mount is made to mount to a ¼ inch or 6.35 mm thick plate and have the screen sit flush with the surface as you can see in the pictures. the recessed mount is made so the screen is flush with the mount and would be recessed into whatever you mount it to.
The holes in the model i did not intend to be mounting holes but to rather just locate the mounting holes so you can decide what size bolt you want to use.
In my application the mount holds the screen by friction but you may want to put some 2 sided tape behind the screen to hold it in the mount.
