Description

A simple drop-in “slider” for the Bambu Lab A1 Mini that sits on top of the Z-axis column to keep the cable and PTFE tube from slipping behind the column or snagging on certain moves.

I designed this after having the filament cable end up behind the Z column a few times — and in one case it caused a sudden tug that resulted in a layer shift. This part creates a smoother path so the cable/PTFE stays where it should, reducing the chance of jams or sudden pulls.

Installation (very easy)

  1. Remove the screw from the original top cover.
  2. Pull the original cover upwards (it’s press-fit).
  3. Press-fit this slider in place (same mounting style).
  4. Reuse the same screw to lock it.

Printing notes

  • No supports needed.
  • PLA works fine (tested), but PETG is recommended for extra durability and better long-term resistance to repeated rubbing.
