Description

Hey everyone,

This model is designed for “Wearable Armor Design Contest”.

I wanted to make something unique and quite happy with how it turned out!

BE AWARE: YOU WILL FEEL LIKE A ROMAN EMPEROR ONCE YOU WEAR THIS HAND ARMOR!

Assembly takes 10-15 minutes. Assembly guide in text follows.

Before you print:
Scale the ring for your finger size. Hand armor will fit most of the hands unless you are Kawhi Leonard, then simply scale it. But you need to scale everything with it, so the eagle still fits well.

Assembly in text:

1. Get a fishing line smaller than 1mm in diameter, insert it from the bottom of the “bird body” and push it. Do this twice, so each sides will have a line going through the body. This step might be a bit tricky, I couldn't place the holes in a better way, so it got a bit tight there.
2. Put the first wing piece, closer to the bird body, insert the line through the hole, then insert the pin, make sure that it moves freely. If it does not move smooth, you can use a sandpaper. Repeat the process for other wing pieces.
3. Make a few knots on each sides of the fishing line once you put it through on all pieces.
4. Pull the line and check if the wings move as they are supposed to.
5. Insert the other end of the fishing line through the hand armor and make a few knots after while the line is not super tensioned, wings are down. The hole is located on top. And then through the ring. Wait for the knot on the ring.
6. Push the feet of eagle inside the hand armor, they fit well. No need to glue.
7. Here adjust the length according to your finger after putting the ring on and give the fishing line proper tension while your hand is open and straight. In that position make a few knots for the ring.
8. Bend your finger and check if it works. If it won't then adjust the knots, but I guarantee you the mechanism works.

I will customize this model a bit and give it a SPQR themed look. Follow, so you don't miss it once it's out! You will definitely like it if you are a Roman Empire fan!

Good luck to everyone else participating in this contest!

Cheers,
Seb.
