Description

Never worry about where to set your cigar on the course again! This magnetic cigar clip is the ultimate golf cart companion. Designed to snap securely onto the metal strut of any standard golf cart, it keeps your cigar safe, clean, and within easy reach while you drive to your next lie.

Key Features:

  • Strong Magnetic Hold: Attaches firmly to golf cart frames (or your Golfinity case) using two small embedded magnets.
  • Universal Fit: The flexible clip design accommodates various cigar ring gauges, holding them gently but securely.
  • Compact Design: Small enough to keep in your golf bag when not in use.
  • Hygiene & Safety: Keeps your cigar off the chemical-treated grass and prevents burn marks on the plastic cart seats.

Bill of Materials (Hardware Needed):

  • 2x Circular Magnets (Sizes: 5x2mm, 6x2mm, 6x3mm, 7x2mm, 7x3mm, 8x2mm, or 8x3mm)
  • Super glue (CA glue) to secure the magnets in place.

Printing Instructions:

  • Material: PLA, PETG, ASA, or ABS
  • Infill: 15-20% (Gyroid recommended for strength).
  • Walls/Perimeters: 3 walls for snap-flexibility.
  • Supports: Standard tree support (auto) and position it on its base (not side!)
  • Orientation: Print strictly as oriented in the file for the best clip elasticity.

Assembly:

  1. Print the model.
  2. Apply a small drop of super glue into the magnet recesses on the back.
  3. Press the 5x2mm magnets into the holes. Tip: Make sure the magnets are flush so they sit flat against the metal surface.
  4. Let dry, stick it to the cart, and enjoy your round!

So the print profile says six walls 100% infill, the instructions say 15% infill gyrotal, two walls, and when you download it and open it to slice it has three walls, at 100% infill. The pictures below show the difference, the first broken blue one is the 15% infill, gyrodle, two walls. Broke as soon as T put any pressure on it The second one, white is the slicer setting when opened three walls 100% infill rectal linear, cracked right where the springs and fingers meet. the third one, solid blue is the actual print profile showed when you look at the plate. Six walls 100% infill rectalinear.. I don't know why the instructions don't match the build profile.. Even the project instructions when you're in the actual slicer says 15% infill, two walls. So it's like the designer wanted it to fail when he wrote the instructions

Sorry for the discrepancy - I'll work on updating the info. went through a few test variations and the draft info may have slipped past me. Thanks for the comment though! Will get it fixed and updated!

Thanks for the rating! If you have Bambu studio you should be able to select the cylinder cutouts and scale to a different size but I'm happy to upload a different magnet cutout if you need one! Just let me know!

Interesting - did you enable supports and remove them before using it? I've printed a few sizes in different filaments and never had them snap or anything

thanks for your reply! I printed it directly off of the Bambu app, I’ll have to open it up on the desktop to double check

Sounds good! Let me know how it works. You want to have the base where the magnets go as the face on the plate. So it is standing upright. Then make sure supports are enabled.

5x2mm Magnet
Printed vertically first and it snapped on the first try to pinch it, flipped it on its side and reprinted and works great! Could use bigger magnets for a better chance of sticking to the cart or bag but all works! thank you

This worked awesome on my Golf trip! Wondering if there is anyway to make one with a smaller clip for thinner cigars?

Love to hear it! What cigars or what size? I'm happy to make a new print profile for a smaller one!

I can verify the 5x2 magnets are worthless…. use the largest magnets.

For sure. The first golf cart I tested it on must have been iron or something because the small magnets worked great. But the next one I tested it didn't even hold. So I released the new print profiles. The small magnets are great for sticking it on workbench in the garage or something though.

Printed in PETG, appears to a nice design, I do understand why people have breakage issues, printing upright in the orientation in the file, on the prongs, the layers are circular and can snap under pressure. By printing on it's side, the layers will run long upwards on the prongs. Will try these out and see if they last, if not, I'll try on the side
