Description
Honeycomb as a sidewall for the KWS Rack
This sidewall is an add-on for the KWS Rack v2 and covers the area from U1 to U6. The honeycomb structure ensures high rigidity with minimal material usage and gives the rack a modern, technical look. The large openings maintain ventilation for internal hardware, while cables and components neatly disappear behind the sidewall.
The wall is directly attached to the frame structure of the KWS Rack v2 and is precisely fitted for the 10-inch format. It is suitable for both open homelab setups and partially enclosed builds with additional panels.
Recommended Print Settings
- Material: PLA, PETG, or ABS, depending on the application environment.
- Layer height: 0.2 mm for a good compromise between detail and print time.
- Infill: 15–25%, depending on desired stability (the honeycomb structure already contributes significantly).
- Perimeters: 3–4 outer lines for additional rigidity.
Optionally, you can differentiate the color of the sidewall to highlight the honeycomb pattern and visually adapt your KWS Rack v2 to the rest of your setup.
