Description

In the Netherlands, trash bags for plastic, metal and drinking cartons (PMD) are collected on the streets in plastic bags.

This PMD street pole holder clamps onto the regular lampposts on the street to hang those bags to.

Benefits:

  • Rodents can't reach the trash bags anymore, reducing chance on them living in the neighbourhood
  • The trash bags are easier to collect for the garbage men/woman
  • Centralized way to store the bags
  • High poles for the bags to sit on so the bags won't take off in bad weather/high wind conditions

I added 5 poles in the front, and 3 in the back. Each can be used with multiple bags, so the capacity is quite big.

Mounting parts:

  • 4 M3 nuts
  • 4 M3 bolts, 10 mm recommended (more is also okay, but then they will stick out)

Mounting instructions:

  • Insert nut in front side
  • Insert bolts in other side, and screw it into the nuts
  • Repeat for the other 3 bolts and nuts
  • Make sure they're all tight

This holder has been sitting on the street lamppost since this summer and it's holding strong! I printed it in PETG-CF as I had that available, but other filaments (other than PLA and flexibles?) will probably work fine too. Parts in the BoM Are the ones I used, feel free to change it up as needed!
