# 6040z CNC Limit Switch Adapters (10t85 / KW11-3Z)

Upgrade your **6040z CNC** with these custom-designed X&Y limit switch mounts. These adapters are designed to fit the common 10t85 (KW11-3Z) style microswitches, providing a reliable homing solution and protecting your machine from over-travel.
 

This mod is specifically optimized for machines running **Estlcam**, but works with any GRBL or CNC controller.

For the Z axis, I simply bored (2mm) two holes in the aluminium part and used the M2.6x12mm screws as shown below:

## ⚡ Wiring & Setup (Estlcam)

These mounts were designed with the **Estlcam Klemmenadapter** in mind. But I guess the original 6040z CNC has an input for limit switches too.

### Configuration:
* **Normally Closed (NC):** I used the **two outer pins** of the switch. 
* **Safety First:** Wiring as NC is highly recommended. If a wire breaks or a terminal comes loose, the machine will fail-safe and stop immediately.

## 💡 Design Notes
I created these to be as low-profile as possible to avoid losing any precious travel distance on the X, Y, or Z axes. Simply slide them into the T-slots or bolt them to the existing gantry points depending on your specific 6040z revision.
