Description
A clean, parametric flanged hole cover cap designed to blank off an existing hole with a neat front face and a secure insert. This model is perfect for panels, enclosures, printed parts, ducts, and general openings where you want a simple, professional-looking cover.
The cap uses a solid front flange to hide rough edges and provide a finished appearance, plus a press-in spigot to center and hold the part in place. Choose your preferred retention style in the Customizer:
- Retention Ribs: subtle rib features for a gentle interference fit (great for printed holes and repeated removal).
- Barbed: stronger one-way style retention using barbed rings for a more aggressive hold.
- None: plain spigot for a slip fit or glue-in use.
All key dimensions are adjustable (flange diameter, insert diameter/length, wall thickness, and fit clearance), so you can dial in the exact fit for your material and printer tolerances.
Printing tips
- Print flat on the flange for best surface quality and strength.
- For press-fit results, tune fit_clearance to match your hole accuracy and material (PLA/PETG/ABS).
- A small tip chamfer helps start the insertion cleanly, especially with barbed fits.
