Description
SNAPTOR, durable strength!
Printed in one piece and activated with a single snap, the SNAPTOR is a compact clamp that’s always ready to bite. Its integrated preloaded spring mechanism is activated after printing. No screws, no assembly, no hassle.
Designed to maintain its clamping force without spring creep/deformation. The SNAPTOR offers a strong, reliable grip in a lightweight and portable form. From cables and fabrics to gear and everyday fixes, this little clamp punches well above its weight!
Print. Snap. Use.
Quick Start
Print
Use the provided 3mf project file or import the STL directly into your slicer. Orientation is optimized for strength and smooth movement. Print this model in PLA, PETG or ABS for best results. Recommended settings:
• 0.16 mm layer height
• 3 Walls
• 20% Grid or Honeycomb infill• NO supports/brim/raft
Snap
Once printed, guide the two sides of the hinge mechanism towards each other.
Push the cilinder shaped inner hinge into the outer hinge until it snaps into place.
Use
Now you can use the SNAPTOR for whatever you like to SNAP!
Unique Features
Pre-tensioned spring
SNAPTOR's unique design requires snapping both halves together after printing, to pre-tension the spring mechanism.
This increases its clamping strength, but also makes sure it maintains it's strength in neutral/closed position.
Scalable geometry
Precision-modeled with tight clearances to create smooth motion. Try scaling it up to 1.5x (or even bigger) to get a very strong clamp. Don't scale it up to big, or you might end up as a snack!
Versatile Use Cases
Can be used to hold cables, notes, bags, or even laundry. Larger sizes can even be used as grip strength trainer.
Optimized for 3D Printing
Requires no supports, no cleanup, and works great on a wide range of FDM printers.
