BMW E91 Trunk Interior Trim Replacement Clip

If you own a BMW E91 (3 Series Touring), you know the struggle of the interior trim clips becoming brittle and breaking over time. This model is a direct replacement designed to restore the fit of your trunk panels.

Technical & Print Recommendations

To ensure the clip has the necessary structural integrity and "spring" to hold the trim securely, please follow these settings:

• Orientation: Print vertically (on its height). This ensures the geometry is accurate for the mounting slot.
• Infill: 100% is mandatory. This provides the maximum strength and the specific flexibility needed for a snap-fit part.
• Material: PETG or ABS/ASA is highly recommended. The interior of a car can get very hot in the summer; standard PLA might soften and lose its grip over time.

Installation Instructions

1. Remove any remains of the old, broken clip from the trim panel.
2. Test fit the 3D-printed clip to ensure proper alignment.
3. Apply a small amount of hot glue (glue gun) to the base of the clip and press it firmly into the designated spot on the trim.
4. Once the glue is set, simply snap the trim back into the car frame.

Note: Always make sure the surface is clean and free of grease before gluing for the best bond!
