Fantastic! I used the color scheme from the NAS Museum model. Bambu PLA Matte Dark Green was perfect. I also used Silk+ Silver on engines, Soyuz fairing, and the escape tower at the top. Made some other small changes to the print. I used Hybrid supports and support filament to get better surfaces because I broke a fragile grid fin trying to insert it into the original slot with the rough support finish. I also crushed the top of 3rd stage inserting the guide peg. So, I Increased walls to 4 which helped with that. I used 100% infill for a heavier stand and scaled up the thickness by 1mm (name tag, too, but not necessary) for better registration and no rotation over the 1st stage engines when on the stand (not glued). I now need to print a similarly scaled Saturn V to keep it company on my rocket farm. Thank you very much for your design and effort on this! Great work!

I like it, especially the color, since I wasn't familiar with that BambuLab one. Is it Dark Green (11501)? I see different tones between photo #3 and #7. Which one has a more accurate color? I know it's difficult to capture true colors in photographs.

Thanks. Yes, the color was PLA Matte Dark Green Hex:#68724D (11501). In the photo the closest color is actually #2. The leftover support puck from the first stage is closest to true on my PC monitor. #3 is under bright LED lighting (5000K Daylight) and #7 is under LED fluorescent tubes. I don't know the color temp for that, but it is softer. As I look at my PC monitor at the pics here, pic#2 support puck is almost exactly the same color as the museum pic#1. I am very pleased with how the BL PLA Matte Dark Green turned out!

I think I'll order the 11501 and reprint it. Mine isn't bad, but I'm a big fan of having models that are as close to the originals as possible. Thanks.

A spectacular model that almost matches the height of the Saturn V. I printed it a couple of months ago from another repository and had been waiting for you to upload it here on MakerLabs. Everything fits perfectly, and it really draws attention in my rocket garden, especially since many people are not familiar with this ill-fated rocket. I originally wanted to print it in the USSR military green, but I couldn’t find a suitable filament, so I went with this dark green from Winkle, which was the closest match I could find. Finally, I slightly modified the engines to better match what I’ve seen in photographs, giving them a metallic and black finish. Many thanks for the work you put into creating this model.

Can I ask where you got the decal set for the SLS? It looks great! I have it and the Saturn V printed as well.

I made the decals myself, just like the ones for the Saturn V. Look for my post from September 2025 about the Kmobrian model at https://makerworld.com/models/455965 and you can download the printable files and instructions.

I'm sorry, I looked a long time, I could not find that post. Has it been removed perhaps?

Thank you for this model! I had chatted you about it and have been patiently waiting for it. It looks great and is printing now on my H2C. I will be using dark green instead of the grey for the body. That is how I remember it in my youth. I will rate and post a picture once complete. Thanks again!
