This tide clock celebrates the colors of Brittany! Its dial features the black and white of the Breton flag (Gwenn ha Du), enhanced with an ermine in the center. Perfect for lovers of the sea, harbors, and beaches!
The right side of the dial indicates the number of hours remaining until low tide (falling tide); the left side indicates the hours remaining until high tide (rising tide).

🛒 Required Materials
For proper operation, you need to purchase a quartz tide clock mechanism (12 h 25 min lunar cycle) with a size of 55x55mm and an 8mm shaft, usually powered by an AA battery. These mechanisms are different from classic clocks.
(Fun fact: even if the ticking is every second like classic clock mechanisms, the gears are indeed programmed for an extended cycle!)
🌊 Setting the Tide Time
For the first use, set the hand to the high tide corresponding to your port. You can find official schedules on https://maree.info.
Note that a tide clock is never perfectly accurate: tides depend on the moon, wind, and atmospheric pressure. Remember to readjust it regularly.
