Description

This is a print-in-place folding case for Ledger Flex with a snap-lock mechanism and an integrated desk stand.

The case is designed as a true clamshell that prints fully assembled.

No screws, no pins, no post-processing, no assembly. Just take it off the build plate and use it.

A key feature of this design is that the lid rotates past 180° and becomes a stable desk stand.

In the fully opened position, the case securely supports Ledger Flex at a comfortable viewing angle, making it easy to use on a desk without any extra accessories.

A lot of time was spent tuning the geometry so that:

  • the hinge prints cleanly
  • the snap-lock works reliably
  • the stand angle is stable and does not collapse
  • tolerances survive real PETG

Adaptive Layers were critical for this model. Without them, achieving a clean hinge, reliable snap-lock, and smooth rotation would be significantly harder.

Key Features

  • Print-in-place folding design
  • Secure snap-lock when closed
  • Lid rotates into a stable desk stand
  • No supports required
  • Optimized specifically for PETG and PETG-CF (Bambu Lab)
  • Durable daily-use protection for Ledger Flex

Print Notes

  • Filament: PETG / PETG-CF
  • Adaptive Layers: ON (strongly recommended)
  • Supports: not required
  • Orientation: print flat on the build plate

This project was tested and tuned on Bambu H2D using PETG and PETG-CF.
