Description

This is a 4 inch (100mm) exhaust hose connector with a controlled top air-inlet, designed for effective 3D printer enclosure fume extraction. It installs inline with a standard 100mm exhaust hose and adds a dedicated inlet port that pulls air from inside the enclosure.

The top inlet is intended to be used with a blast gate:

  • Open the blast gate when the enclosure door is closed to provide make-up air and maintain steady exhaust flow.
  • Close the blast gate when printing with the enclosure door open so all fumes from the printer are pulled directly into the exhaust, preventing them from escaping into the room.

This setup ensures consistent airflow, better fume capture, and more efficient ventilation whether the enclosure door is open or closed.

Key Features

  • Fits standard 4" / 100mm exhaust hose
  • Inline exhaust connector with top air-inlet port
  • Designed to work with a manual blast gate
  • Improves fume extraction with door open or closed
  • Helps prevent backflow and uncontrolled air leakage
  • Compact, simple, and easy to print

Ideal For

  • Window or wall-vented exhaust systems
  • Workshops where door-open printing is sometimes necessary
  • Any ventilation setup needing controlled make-up air

Printing Notes

  • Recommended materials: PETG or ABS for warm exhaust air
(PLA acceptable for cooler, short-duration use)
  • Use sufficient wall thickness for hose clamp compression
  • Standard hose clamps provide a secure, airtight fit
