When I've taught this game and the concept of ‘bridges’ between the islands; I had really wished that they were more prominent (possibly a different color) rather than just blending in with the rest of the ‘under city’. Created these to be a colorized add-ons to connect atop of the existing bridges to make them stand-out better.
I've chosen to print them ‘on their ends’ for the following reasons:
- reduces the amount of supports
- support connection points are mostly hidden
- overall cleaner print
- YMMV
