🐉 Dragon Castle Fantasy Desk Tray

A fantasy-themed dragon and castle desk tray, designed as a single solid piece and optimised for FDM 3D printing.
A sleeping dragon coils around a medieval castle, forming a circular tray ideal for everyday items such as keys, wallet, earbuds, rings, or sunglasses.

The model combines decorative detail with practical use, making it perfect as a desk organizer, bedside tray, or display piece for fantasy and tabletop lovers.

✨ Features

• Single-piece design – no assembly required
• FDM-friendly geometry – overhangs kept reasonable for clean printing
• Shallow recessed tray for daily carry items
• Thick, sturdy walls for durability
• Works beautifully as home décor, desk décor, or gift item

🖨️ Print Recommendations

• Material: PLA, PETG, or similar
• Layer height: 0.2 mm (0.24 or 0.28 mm also works well for faster prints)
• Nozzle: 0.4 mm
• Infill: 5-10% (gyroid or cubic recommended)
• Supports: Required - Easy to remove if using the setting on the 3mf (0.275 Top Z distance + tweaks)
• Brim: Optional, depending on bed adhesion. I did not need any brim or glue. 

The model is designed to print cleanly with minimal supports - a smaller version might struggle to remove supports under the claw.

📏 Scaling

• Printed well at 100% scale and up to 170%. Didn't try bigger or smaller, but I reckon it would print well 
• Can be safely scaled up or down to suit your desk or shelf space

🎨 Customisation Ideas

• Single-colour matte prints for a stone-statue look
• Silk or marble PLA for a premium finish
• Paintable surface for hand-painted fantasy details
