Description

This is a test unit I've shown in my video linked below.

 

It's based on 2 NEMA17 motors to drive its 2 axis. 

It was made to test my DIY CAN based CNC controller, the machine has no tool so you'll have to design your own.

 

To build this machine you will need the followning parts:

 

  • MGN12 rails 300mm with carriages (long version)
  • 2 NEMA17 motors
  • 300mm 2020 aluminium extrusion
  • 2 16T GT2 pulleys
  • GT2 timing belt
  • 4 F623ZZ bearings for belt idlers
  • variety of M3 screws and M3 nuts
  • 2 M5 hexagon socket screws
  • some kind of controller to move the axes
