Description:

My old tape dispenser broke. I could have bought a new one, but I decided to print one; except that searching the site I only found aseptic, too basic and boring models...and this pushed me to create a more interesting and captivating version that better suits my tastes: so here is an epic and majestic dragon tape dispenser

I used it for a tape with a diameter of about 5cm and a width of 1.9cm, but there is space for tapes up to 7.5-8cm in diameter (8cm is right at the limit, it would probably end up touching the bottom at the beginning) and 3.3cm wide; the inner pin is designed for a 2.6cm hole (in case, being a separately printed piece, it can be modified by shrinking or enlarging it, to adapt it to different tape sizes)

Print instructions:

The support is already set to meet the model's requirements

The final model is heavy enough for my needs, but if you want it to be heavier and more stable, you can pause the print, once it reaches roughly the height of the neck, to fill the dragon's body with some weight, such as sand. Another option is to glue a magnet under the dragon, so you can attach it to a metal surface, even vertically

I have uploaded 2 print profiles: one for P*/X*/H*/A1 printers and one for the A1 mini

Assembly instructions:

First, remove the support from the dragon
Insert the pin into the adhesive tape
Rest the pin inside the gaps on the hands, making sure the tape faces the serrated blade on the dragon's tail tip
Press the pin all the way in, locking it securely, so it doesn't move while using the tape. If the pin offers too much resistance when inserting it, a slight filing should be enough to solve the problem; if, on the other hand, it's too loose, I recommend reprinting the pin, enlarging it by 1-2%. I advise against using glue to fix it, as this would prevent future tape replacement
Unroll the tape and rest it on the serrated blade, awaiting next use. The serrated blade produces a jagged, uneven cut; if a more defined and precise cut is preferred, you can glue or screw on the scraper blade provided by Bambu. Once the tape runs out, simply pull the pin upwards to remove the old tape spool and insert a new tape

Post-processing:

I recommend using fine-tipped tweezers to facilitate support removal
