Description

Hi, I made the Model to fit 10x2mm neodymium magnets. I used a 3W Power LED for the flash and a tiny rechargable LiPo from a small broken drone. The "Flashy" Part I made from glow-in-the-dark PLA, which turned out as a great diffusor and the afterglow makes it look super neat in my opinion.
Everything is superglued together, exept the Clip. I just used some PLA filament straight from the roll there, pushed it through and sealed the ends with my 3D Pen. (A soldering Iron turned to 150-160°C could probably do as well.)
The Clip doesn't really have a purpose exept optics in my build, because I did not use a spring and the magnet holder is a little bigger than the original design.
For anyone trying to make this, please also be aware of these things:

  • You have to install the Dials from the UNDERSIDE. Otherwise it will not close up. I messed up the tolerances a bid :P. I only found that out after I glued everything together, thats why they are missing in my build.
  • Consider printing the "tophalf2" horizontal. Yes, it will use a lot of supports but the part will be way stronger in the end.

I designed it in a way, that the magnets don't really touch, but just come very close to one another. This way I avoid cracking them when they snap together. They are still strong enough to hold everything well together.
I had to break one of the magnets in half for the top stopper to fit. If anyone finds a better solution, please feel free to share! :)

Depending on what dials and buttons you want to use, modification to the parts may be required. Feel free to post them as remixes!

Have fun with this build!
Best Greetings!
