Screwless wall hook & mount for acoustic panel
I wanted to attach hooks on my acoustic panel without screwing them in. I found a couple of similar designs but none really fit my wishes, so I made own! What followed was an adventure into Fusion and 3D modeling. It was quite the learning journey, but I am very proud of my very first complex model.
These hooks cleanly fit between the wooden slats both in depth and width. They can be secured using the included mounts without any drilling or screws. These mounts slide under the wooden slats and include a small in to keep them in place. When removing the mount, the pin leaves almost no mark, allowing you to cleanly reposition the hooks.
I've printed them in PLA Basic, but any filament should work. The print profile includes a helper, allowing you to correctly space the mounts.
Specifications
- 14.5 mm wide – Suitable for panels with a gap 15mm (such as those Silentlines from Karwei).
- 12.5mm deep - Suitable for panels with a slot depth of 13mm (such as those Silentlines from Karwei).
- All that is needed is a flathead screwdriver for the mounts

Instructions
- Print 2 mounts.
- Print 1 hook.
- (Optional) print the helper.
- Attach the bottom or top mount at the preferred height.
- Use a flat head screwdriver to turn the mount 90 degrees, making sure the 2 flaps slide under the wooden slats.
- Use the helper to correctly space the second mound and do the same.
- The wall clicks directly onto the mount. No screws needed.
Modifications
If your wall panel uses slightly different spacings, editing should be easy. You can use the slicer to change the width and depth to the required gap and slot depth. Just make sure to also edit the mounts.
