Description

A durable, noise-reducing replacement for broken bed slat caps.

Standard plastic caps are often brittle and snap over time. This design features a compliant internal structure inspired by high-end suspension systems to provide better weight distribution and eliminate the "squeaking" typical of old bed frames.

Material Requirements:

  • TPU is mandatory. Do not use PLA or PETG; they will snap or creep under the constant mechanical stress of the slat.
  • Shore Hardness: Recommended 95A for a balance of support and flexibility.

Print Settings:

  • Walls: 3 minimum.
  • Infill: 20-30% (Gyroid recommended for uniform compression).
  • Orientation: Print flat on the bed for maximum layer adhesion against the slat's lateral forces.
