Description

This is a reed case for oboe reeds. The case has a hexagonal shape and consists of 6 segments, which are hinged together. Each segment can hold a reed, through which the case can hold a maximum of 6 reeds. The whole case with the hinges is print in place.

The case has 4 holes for placing magnets in there, to hold the case closed. You will need 4x Neodym magnet D3x2 mm. I recommend to glue them in. Please watch the polarity of the magnets.

I added two versions of the case to the 3MF file. One is the standard case, the other is the version with text inside one of the segments (like in the pictures). For changing the text do the following:

Select the text in Bambu Studio
Right klick → change text
Enter desired text
Slice the model

If the case gets flipped upside down, they all hit the top and I’m scared they’re going to break, great design though.

Thank you. The reeds I had when designing the case were all clamping inside the holder, but when reading your comment it seems they differ in their size.

It's a wonderful quality. If I had one request, it would be that when taking the reed out of the case, the tip of the reed almost hits the edge of the case. It would be best if you could change the slope of the case's edge from the current straight slope to a shape that draws a gentler curve.
