Ford Transit 2015–2020 Key Fob Sleeve

Over time, my Ford Transit key fob remote developed two common issues. The plastic loop used to attach the key ring broke off, and the internal flip mechanism no longer locked the metal key blade securely in the open position. As a result, the key could not be attached to a keychain and tended to fold back while unlocking or starting the vehicle, which quickly became frustrating during daily use.

This snap-fit sleeve restores both functions in a single solution. It recreates a strong, flexible attachment point for a key ring and adds stabilisation that helps keep the key blade locked in the open position during use. Once installed, the key feels noticeably more solid and reliable again.

The part is designed to be printed in TPU 95A, providing the flexibility required for snap-fit installation. A custom, integrated raft/support structure is included and must be printed in PLA. This support system significantly improves print reliability for this part and ensures consistent results. After printing, the PLA support is removed, leaving a clean and fully functional TPU repair sleeve.

Recommended use:
Snap the TPU sleeve around the original key housing until it locks into place. Attach your key ring as usual.
