Quickened Flame — Wrist-Kindled Vambrace Torch
Print Profile(1)

Description
Greetings, worthy artificers and perusers of the Maker's Guild, along with all good Sir knights from afar. It is I, Sir Cadsalot.
Today I present to you The Quickened Flame a wrist-kindled vambrace torch. This can be used as a light guard vambrace or affixed to your armor while doubling as a deployable torch. The torch is kindled and drawn forth through the wrist's action of bending towards the nave. This allows a good Sir Knight to remain armed with his sword while setting alight a torch to light ones way to press on through dark castle corridors or to ward off would-be highwaymen in the dark of night. The design could bear improvement, particularly in the durability of its central mechanism, which I have only attempted fashioning with PLA where PETG may garner more robust results. PLA has sufficed thus far, but it is possible to break if the torch is positioned incorrectly on your forearm. If interest follows this design, I would like to integrate the mechanism into a full plate vambrace.
May God bless your travels, good fellow, and happy printing.
