Thanks for a great print! Used the PLA settings but changed the infill to gyro and slowed down the overhangs and the outer and top layers. I've owned several wrist guards and it took me several hours to figure out what felt different about this one. I've never had my thumb stabilized, and don't need it when it's the wrist itself that hurts. Will test and see if I can cut that part out.
print without supports, also measure your the side of your wrist with a ruler then use the measuring tool and resize tool to make sure it is relative to your hand by increasing scale percentage. after print is done you can put it in semi boiling/ hot water mix bowl to make it maluable to your hand and shape it accordingly for nicer fit. use pandage over it to hold in place. (PLA)
Contracted intersection syndrome last week, this truly helped me get over it super quick. After the print I just did a quick reshape with hot water for it to fit tightly on my hand. Since i wore it 24h for a couple of days I also lined it with a thin cheap knitted glove by spray glueing it . Worked like a charm and saved me a trip to the hospital.
Mirrored to get left hand side. printed great. used Hollow tree support so there is some post processing required. scaled up to fit the hand that needed it. Great to have stuff like this available.
stuff like this is the future lol once had a boxer fracture and didnt took the surgery, i had tostart training moving my fingers after 2 weeks... back then i wish i had something like this lol
