One human landmark stands or” flies” above the rest, the international space station or ISS. Being one of the greatest human achievements that can be spotted in the night sky many times during the day. This model attempts to symbolize this by having the ISS flying above some of the famous landmarks from some continents.
The complete model consists of 2 main parts:
The entire assembly requires only a m2 or m3 nut and screw.
Important information:
!!!ALL MY PRINTS FOR THE ISS IS DONE AT 70% SCALE FOR THE m2 FASTNING!!!
My design of the ISS is based on the model found on NASA’s website for reference:
https://science.nasa.gov/resource/international-space-station-3d-model/
The design has been heavily simplified and has been made as easy to print as possible but will still require some support for some of the parts. All the tests performed by me has been in single color PLA, especially the solar cell “wings” can be tricky, but adding brim helped me a lot.
All the ISS parts are very fragile, even after thickening them all I could without ruining the design.
The landmarks on the plate are:

The full assembled ISS is also included but print at your own risk, there is A LOT of supports needed, I havent tried printing it, so good luck if you decide to try.
If you have a long enough screw you can hang the ISS from the hangar instead.
I might create a version with space for LED inserts or just upload the plate itself without the large pillar.
