Description

An all new Commodore 64 cartridge case designed from scratch.
The model started as a Facebook community request to find or design a stubby cart case for custom cart PCBs.
With no suitable options already existing for a short case, I set out to create one which evolved into a range of cases, including this version specifically for the iNimbleSloth c64-16k-cartridge (https://www.inimblesloth.com/commodore-64-16k-cartridge/).
Modelled with details from the original case design, this print features a tight snap lock design with a satisfying connection.
The ribbed sections are only present on the sides to enable a flat printing surface but still enables a place to grip if you have a tight C64 cartridge slot.
A cut out exits internally for the extra chip height if sockets are used on the custom PCB.
Given the tight fit snap lock design, I recommend to avoid printing in silk PLA. However, this also means you may be able to get away without using a screw to hold the case together.
If you want to use a screw the recommended size is M2.6x16.

The print profile includes two different top case designs.
One features two cutouts for access to the reset button & the selection jumpers.
The other has three cutouts with the extra one being a window in order to read the jumper positions shown on the PCB.
Remove the one you don't want & auto arrange the plate before printing.

Other versions of the case can be found in my profile: https://makerworld.com/en/@user_3550440952
