Whale is a decorative sculpture depicting a whale resting on a simple base, with an overall length of 180 mm.
The design combines smooth, flowing lines with an open internal structure that adds visual lightness and depth. Intended as a modern decorative object, it works well as a subtle accent in interior spaces such as shelves, desks, or display areas.
Whale — workflow test (Hitem3D 2.0)
For this model, I focused on testing how Hitem3D 2.0 handles smooth, organic shapes combined with an open, perforated structure. The goal was to see how well the tool preserves surface flow and continuity across a larger, more fluid form.

I used a single reference image and generated the model in 1536P³ Pro quality. At this setting, generation takes a bit longer than lower resolutions, but it still typically finishes within several minutes. The higher resolution helps maintain cleaner transitions between solid and perforated areas, which is especially important for curved, organic geometry like this.

Another useful aspect is the ability to run multiple generations in parallel, which speeds up iteration significantly. If a result isn’t satisfactory, the model can be regenerated up to three times for free, often resolving minor surface or proportion issues in later attempts.

After reviewing the mesh, I exported it as an STL and continued working on it in Bambu Studio. At this stage, I added a base for better stability and introduced a dedicated opening in the body, allowing internal supports to be removed more easily after printing. I then adjusted proportions and fine details and prepared the model for printing.
