Top housing for a GMKtec K12 120mm

 

Warning: Soldering experience required!

Noctua fan only fits into the casing without vibration dampeners on the corners!

 

Please note: 

The models are designed to minimize overhangs 

For the best print result, definitely print in this orientation 

Only the case lid requires a support structure 

 

Included files/information:

  • Top housing with opening for 120mm PC fan  
  • 2 matching strips for gluing in  (Pay attention to orientation!!!)
  • Fan cover
  • Spacers for the screw feet of the bottom housing (2.0mm, 2.1mm, 2.2mm, 2.3mm, 4 pieces each) 
  • Pinout: JST 1.25mm 4 PIN; Pinout: 4 PIN PWM

 

Required parts:

 

Modifications to the GMKtec K12:

 

CPU: Honeywell PTM7950 thermal pad (25 degrees Celsius less CPU temperature)

Adapter 4 PIN JST 1.25mm to PWM 4 PIN extension, so that every fan can be connected without needing to solder again 

(Pinout in the documentation)

BIOS: CPU fan curve to automatic, SYS FAN to 40 percent

Set to PERFORMANCE in the main menu

Cinebench R23 95 degrees Celsius including thermal throttling

RAM Temp 70 degrees

15900 points in multicore

Case fan at maximum (no improvement)

 

After:

Cinebench R23 70 -75 degrees Celsius. 500 Mhz higher boost clock

RAM Temp 38 degrees

17380 points in multicore

Case fan CPU goes to approx 80 percent in automatic mode, SYS FAN to 40 percent
