Description
This bracket is designed for a custom installation of Tuya ZY-M100 / Tuya ZY-M100 mmmwave presence sensors in standard EU flush-mounted boxes using the Gira system 55 blank cover plate with a support ring.
The Tuya ZY-M100 / Tuya ZY-M100 mmmwave presence sensor, originally designed as a ceiling-mounted solution, stands out in the market due to its exceptional detection performance, integrated power supply for 220 volts, competitive pricing, and the option to transplant it onto an ESP32. Recognizing its unique features, the intention was to develop a solution that allows the use of this sensor in walls as well. My solution is specifically designed for EU flush-mounted boxes and the Gira system 55. It features a printed bracket that replaces the upper part of the original sensor housing, providing a secure attachment of the sensor beneath the Gira cover plate.
Required parts:
- Tuya ZY-M100 / Tuya ZY-M100 sensor
- Gira system 55 blank cover plate with a support ring
Installation instructions:
- Disassemble the Tuya ZY-M100 / Tuya ZY-M100 sensor.
- Replace the upper part of the sensor housing with the printed bracket.
- Reassemble the sensor.
- Slide the sensor into the Gira metal support ring.
- Clip the blank cover plate onto the support ring.
- Install the assembly in your flush-mounted box.
