Description
This object is a custom-designed, 3D-printed cable grommet (or desk bushing) intended to protect cables and improve aesthetics where wires pass through a surface. It features a cylindrical body that fits into a drilled hole and a flanged top lip that rests on the surface to conceal the cut edge.
Technical Parameters & Dimensions: Based on the schematic diagrams provided, the geometry is defined by the following parametric variables:
- OuterCircleDiameter: The total diameter of the top flange.
- InnerCircleDiameter: The diameter of the Cilinder
- Height: The vertical length of the insertion tube. Note that in this specific design, "Height" defines the length of the bottom tube section excluding the top flange.
- OuterCircleThickness: The vertical height/thickness of the top flange rim.
- PieceThickness: The wall thickness of the lower insertion tube. This is the solid material thickness between the inner hole and the outer wall of the tube.
- OuterCircleRound: The radius of the fillet (rounding) applied to the bottom edge of the top flange.
