A universal smartphone mount for DUALSHOCK 4 (PS4 controller) I made

Any modern smartphone can be held securely using a screw mechanism
fully printed
needs support structures (as seen in print profile)
The joints can be attached with 1.75 filament

I don't get it. In your photo the 'screw' is pushed all way down through the top clamp. But the diameter of the round part of the screw is 8mm and the lower part of the clamp tightens from 9mm down to 7.5mm. How should 8mm fit through 7.5mm?

Same issue I experienced. The screw doesn't go fully through the top clamp, which in turn makes it too short for larger phones. If this was fixed, the Pro Max would fit easily.

I fixed this by tapering the screw so that the mount is able to accomodate larger phones like Pro Max. Additionally, I lengthened the bracket to account for the tapered screw, and for larger phones Check it out if you're interested, print profile: "FOR LARGER PHONES / IPHONE PRO MAX"
