Modular Grogu Phone Stand – “This Is the Way”

This modular phone stand is inspired by The Mandalorian universe and designed to be both functional and fully customizable for multi-color 3D printing.

Design Overview

• The base is styled to resemble a Beskar ingot in silver, with layered surface detailing for visual depth.
• The Beskar logo on the base is a removable insert, allowing you to swap in your own custom logo or design.
• Grogu sits atop the stand on a removable post system, making him easy to swap out for another character or future variant.
• The phone back support is also removable and features:
  • Din Djarin’s Mandalorian helmet
  • The Clan Mudhorn crest
• The underside of the stand includes the phrase “THIS IS THE WAY”, along with artwork of Din Djarin.

All artwork was custom-designed specifically for this print.

Printing & Assembly Notes

• Grogu is hollowed to reduce filament usage and print time.
• Grogu has been sliced into multiple parts for clean, easy multi-color part printing.

• All components are broken into separate plates to:

   

  • Minimize filament changes
  • Reduce waste
  • Optimize overall print time

   

• Parts are designed with tight, reliable tolerances and fit together cleanly.

Glue Requirements

• ❌ No glue required for phone stand assembly
• ✅ Glue required for:
  • Grogu’s eyes
  • Grogu’s hands
• 🔧 Optional: Glue Grogu’s head to the body (not required)

Customization Friendly

This design was intentionally created to be modular and remix-friendly:

• Swap the Beskar logo insert
• Replace Grogu with another character
• Create themed variants while keeping the same base system

Inspiration Credit

A special thank you to ShazzleCreates. My design inspiration came from the Baby Yoda Beskar Edition phone stand. While that is a fantastic design, I wanted to create something fully original, more modular, and uniquely my own. ShazzleCreates’ work served as creative inspiration, but no files or geometry were reused in the creation of this model.

This model was built from the ground up, featuring:
