Description

These clips work with the Box To Board Hex Tray System. They make traveling with the trays easy, as they lock them in place so they don't fall everywhere! There is a print profile with a bunch of tray quantities at 10mm wide; however, I also made it parametric, so you can customize the widths and choose how many trays the clip works with.

For the player docks, the width of the clip must be 10mm.

This will also work with the Box To Board dice towers; the towers are modular and are five trays high, so they will be the same height as 5 trays.

The fewer trays, the looser it will be; the more trays, the tighter it will be. It will work up to 10 trays high. Whether tight or loose, the trays will not come apart.

01-13-25 Update:

Added another parameter to adjust the height to accommodate the new hex toppers.

i was curious why you have printed these in PLA/PETG and no one so far used some flexible material :) so i gave a try and it came out great! i had some spare FiberFlex 40D, so printed one set for 6 trays, holds in place perfectly and easy to snap on/off :) this is crucial component for storing and going around, thx

I made an alteration to prevent further finger damage and included the print profile above. These are really nice to have though to keep everything secured. It makes it so I can carry the whole set in one hand with the magnets and clips working together. Thank you for sharing!

If I have eight trays, each with a new hex topper, how much do you think I should specify in the new "Additional Height Added" parameter for a pair of travel clips?

we recently had a New Years boardgame party and this was the missing piece transporting my holders, it works well, quite tight but it’s a small enough of filament no big loss if it snaps at some point. Sadly it won’t work with the top section of the card holder. If you come up with a piece to fit that I’ll print a few up for sure!

It seems to be a bit more flexible. They snapped onto eight hex trays, four docks, and four square trays with no trouble.

Question. Is there a way to make the top clip deeper to support putting the card stacker on top? The very top piece is deeper than all the others. Maybe have a version that can accommodate that?
