Description
This is a soldering tip holder designed for the Hakko FX-888D/FX-888 series soldering iron stand, with capacity for up to 17 tips. While it is designed for the FX-888, it should be compatible with other Hakko models; verify measurements to ensure proper fit.
Two print profiles are included. One profile accommodates standard soldering tips along with five slots specifically sized for smaller-diameter heat-set insert tips. The second profile features uniformly sized slots designed for 7 mm diameter tips, with a small amount of clearance to allow for easy insertion and removal.
The holder is designed to fit securely into the Hakko iron stand—tight enough to remain in place when lifted, yet easy to install without excessive force. TPU feet are included to help prevent the holder from sliding during use (small amount of super glue required to glue them in place).
While manufacturing tolerances may vary between Hakko products, this design should fit most units without issue.
Below are links to the tips I have installed in this holder. If your tips are a different diameter, message me and I will change the hole size for your application.
Test models printed in ABS, but should work fine in other materials as well. Brim can be removed in printing with lower temperature materials that don't require enclosed chamber.
