Description
Hey, just a quick update — I’ve uploaded a revised version with a looser fit and improved magnet options.
If you get a chance to try it, I’d appreciate any feedback!
A sturdy, print-in-place build plate scraper with a folding blade and magnetic open/close lock.
Designed to reduce the risk of damaging textured or coated build plates by maintaining a shallow, consistent blade angle.
Blade folds fully into the handle for safe storage.
• Print-in-place — no assembly required (apart from blade hardware and optional magnets).
• Folding blade stores safely inside the handle
• Magnets lock the blade open and closed
• Blade angle designed to avoid build plate damage
• Sturdy and ergonomic form factor
• Compatible with Bambu Lab's standard scraper blade kit
To assemble, install the two screws from the scraper kit, leave them slightly loose so the blade can slip into place. Ensure the blade is the correct way round using the guide pins in the blade holes as reference.
Once the blade is in position, tighten the screws.
If fitting magnets, fit the magnet in the blade holder first:

Next, open the mechanism to expose the second magnet cut-out. The second magnet will then be easier to install in the correct polarity as will be repelled if wrong.

Assembly is now complete!
