Description

This model is a cord holder / tension clip for pleated blinds, which I newly designed in Fusion 360

The original plastic part was damaged

This version has been mechanically reinforced, but retains the original function and fit and can be directly clipped into the existing rail

This part is not a sliding or deflection guide

The cords are threaded through once, tied firmly, and then tensioned

After clipping in, the cord no longer runs through, but remains permanently fixed and tensioned

Installation & Function

  • Use in the side guide rail of the pleated blind
  • Cords are:

    1. fed through the two openings
    2. firmly knotted
    3. tensioned by clipping in the part

  • After assembly, the cord remains fixed

The part must be inserted so that the wedge / slope points upwards, as this is the only way to ensure correct tensioning and holding function

Improvements over the Original

  • Reinforced wall thicknesses in stressed areas
  • Higher stability with tensioned cord
  • Optimized geometry for 3D printing
  • No support needed

Note

There are different pleated blind systems and manufacturers

Please compare the dimensions with the original part before printing

Use is at your own risk
