Description

I designed a minimalist four joint/cigar container with a Bic lighter slot. The lid snaps shut firm and secure and is held to the body with a set of overkill hinges. The container can hold up to four 1gramers or any size joint/cigar less than 3.75" in length and 0.5" in diameter.

  • NOT smell proof
  • The latch that secures the lid shut will wear down overtime, but it takes a good amount of use before wearing down. (working on improving)

Assembly Instructions:

Step 1 - Align the lid hinges with the body hinges and secure the lid in the shut position, this will make inserting the filament pin easier.

Step 2: Cut a 5in section of standard 1.7mm diameter filament of your choosing and begin inserting it into one side of the hinge. This may be difficult when just using your fingers, a pair of needle nose pliers will be helpful. Use the pliers to grip the filament near the hinge and push filament into the hinge.

Step 3: Pass the filament through the hinge until about 1mm of filament is sticking out the other side. Then heat stake the end. I used an old flat head screwdriver and micro torch. I heat the flat head with the torch and then press the filament end flat like using a iron.

Step 4: Trim the other end of the filament leaving about 1mm sticking out (keep remaining filament for other side hinge). Repeat the heat staking operation. I use my thumb to support the end that I previously heat staked so it doesn't push out.

Step 5: Repeat process 1- 4 on the second hinge and enjoy.
