Description

Hey everyone,

I made updates on the original design of t4obrien´s Analog Adapter (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5264600) for the DJI FPV Goggles to solve some issues i was having.

  1. I wanted to include the Runcam Mini DVR without it beeing bulky.
  2. I wanted to make it fit every type of goggles (in my case Walksnail Goggles X)
  3. Protect the back side of the URUAV 3.0 PLUS Adapter Board
  4. Keep DVR lights visible as well as button and SD slot accessible
  5. Still use available hardware
  6. idealy still fit in the orignal carrying case

I think i managed to do this quite nicely and its been working great for me. The project was also a bunch of fun and doesnt take a lot of time!

I also managed to do this in a way so you dont need any additional hardware other than whats included in the Boxes of the URUAV 3.0 Plus (https://de.aliexpress.com/item/1005006690756928.html?gatewayAdapt=glo2deu) and the Runcam Mini DVR (https://de.aliexpress.com/item/1005008678943146.html?gatewayAdapt=glo2deu). The only exception is a small piece of alien tape or something similar to use for alignment of the DVR Board.

The recording button of the DVR as well as the Micro SD Card slot are easily accessable. I also added a quick release that if anyone needs it can be updated to fit other strap sizes or be remodeled for different mounting options. Its easy to install and to remove and simply slides in place.

The 2 boards will have to be soldered together but the cables included in the DVR box worked well for me. I cut off the plug on one of the cables and the lenght was just right for the longer of the solder connections and the other two were further trimmed to reduce wiring.

Then simply slide the back cover in place and use the screws privided in the URUAV Box to fasten it to the main body.

I have been using it with the FuriousFPV True D V3.5 and FasaArg´s Cover (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5264600). Should work with most other Fatshark-Type Modules and Covers as well.

I used PETG for the main housing parts and TPU90A for the button as well as the quick release. You should be able to use different filaments as well as not opting for tpu for the button and quick release. I do reccoment it tho since it hasn´t given me any issues whatsoever.

I hope you enjoy!
