⚠️ Important – Please Read Before Printing
• PRINT AT 0.16 mm LAYER HEIGHT ONLY
This model is designed specifically for 0.16 mm layer height.
Printing at a different layer height may cause the fine geometry to fail.
• DO NOT ENABLE SUPPORTS
No supports are required or wanted.
If your slicer suggests supports, disable them manually.
• DRY FILAMENT REQUIRED
Because of the fine lattice details, dry filament is strongly recommended.
Moist filament may cause stringing, weak bridges, or failed sections — especially with translucent materials.

Geometric LED Ornament Globe
Battery-Powered | Dual LED Compatibility
These geometric ornament globes were designed as simple, durable decorations that look good both lit and unlit. They use small battery-powered LEDs and are solid enough to survive being dropped without shattering — no fragile, paper-thin walls here.
The pattern is designed to print cleanly without supports at the correct layer height, while still letting light pass through beautifully.
🔦 LED Compatibility (Two Options)
This updated version supports two different LED sizes, both using press-fit caps:
Option 1 – Standard Mini LED
Compatible with LEDs like:
LIHAO / similar mini battery LEDs (larger style)
https://amzn.eu/d/1GYQEie

Option 2 – Smaller Mini LED
Compatible with smaller LEDs like:

Both options are fully supported in the files.
📦 What’s Included (3 Plates Total)
Plate 1 – Main Body
- The geometric globe itself
Plate 2 – Large LED Cap
- Press-fit cap for the larger mini LEDs
Plate 3 – Small LED Cap + Push-Out Tool
- Press-fit cap for the smaller LEDs
- Matching push-out clip to safely remove the LED from the cap
The push-out clips are optional, but make removing the LED much easier without damaging the print.
🎄 Hanging & Display
- Each cap includes a loop for string or ribbon
- Can be used as:
- Hanging ornaments
- Shelf decorations
- Table pieces
- Window accents
🧵 Filament Recommendations
- Best for light diffusion:
White or translucent PLA - More decorative when unlit:
Silk or darker filaments (still lights up, just less bright)
Because of the fine geometry, wet filament can cause print failures, especially with translucent materials.
🖨 Print Settings
- Layer height: 0.12 mm
- Supports: OFF
- Brim: Optional (easy to remove)
- Material: PLA recommended
If you want, I can next:
- Write a shorter “Quick Notes” version for the top of MakerWorld
- Create a separate print profile block formatted exactly like your other uploads
- Match the tone to your bookmark / lamp descriptions so everything stays consistent across your page
Thanks for scrolling all the way down — you’re officially a real one 🫶
