  • US Quarter x 1:

Description

Inspired by the 3D Brothers' model, (https://makerworld.com/en/models/631323-coin-trap) I couldn't find a coin trap for a US quarter, so here one is.

The trap is very skeletal. You can see, touch, and move the quarter freely, but it's definitely stuck and will not come out. It's not going to survive in your pocket, but you're printing this to leave it on your desk or a shelf.

***** Printing Instructions ******

USE THE .3mf FILE! - The .stl does not have the pause in the print to insert a quarter. You'll have to add it yourself when you do the slicing. .stl files do not support things like that. Use the .3mf file, instead.

The .3mf has a pause about 3 mins before the end of the print. That's when you're going to drop in the quarter. It's just before the top closes. Make sure that the quarter slips down nice and low so as to not interfere with the print.

I print on a Biqu Cryogrip plate. I didn't need a brim. Even on a textured plate you probably don't need one. …but your mileage may vary. This is a short, teeny tiny print. Make a decision that works for you and own your choice.
