House Elf with Sock – 3D Fan Art Figure

This 3D-printed figure shows a cheerful house elf proudly holding a sock up in the air – a clear sign of his newly gained freedom.
He stands barefoot with a slight forward lean and a wide, happy smile on his face. The big ears, facial wrinkles and the tattered simple garment are all highly detailed and give the model a lot of character.

The fabric of the robe looks lively and realistic thanks to folds, tears and frayed edges. Hands and feet are finely sculpted, with visible fingers, toes and tendons. Overall, the figure strongly evokes a movie scene and is perfect as a collector’s piece or decoration for Harry Potter fans.

🖨️ Printing Details

  • Model: Single-piece, free-standing
  • Orientation: Upright, standing on the feet
  • Supports: Recommended / slicer dependent
    • under the raised arm and sock
    • under chin, ears and other thin overhangs
    • optionally along the torn edges of the robe
  • Recommended material:
    • PLA / PLA+ for reliable printing and sharp detail
    • Satin / silk PLA for a slightly “skin-like” sheen
  • Layer height: 0.12–0.20 mm
    • finer layers enhance facial wrinkles and fabric detail
  • Perimeters: 2–3 walls so fingers, ears and sock stay sturdy
  • Infill: around 12–20% (increase if you want a heavier figure)
  • Cooling: Good part cooling and slightly reduced speed around the head and sock help with the thin features.

⭐ Highlights

  • Highly detailed face with big smile and expressive eyes
  • Torn robe with lots of folds and frayed edges
  • Raised sock as the iconic story element
  • Free-standing model, ideal for shelf, desk or display case
  • Great for painting – skin tones, robe, sock and eyes

💡 Tip:
Printed in a light or slightly translucent filament and then painted with acrylics, the character really comes to life. The sock works well in a contrasting color, making it a small but striking highlight in your display.
