  • 3mm Elastic Shock Cord x 1: Less than 20 inches need for each one

Description

Microplane grater covers have become worse and worse as they use cheaper plastic and the molds degrade. Yeah, they only charge $1 for a replacement, but they aren't really worth it.

So I went down the rabbit hole and tried a bunch of others. Some were decent replicas, but honestly the basic mechnism was flawed. So I ended up designing my own. These print flat, and the only thing you need is some 3mm shock cord.

Just print out whichever one you want and then run shock cord through each tube connecting the two pieces. Make sure it is pulled tight so that it just stretches a little bit. Then you can hook one end over one end of the grater and pull the other end over the other.
