Description

Introduction

This is a fully modular desktop storage system with 9 different drawer sizes. It is A1 Mini compatible, but wider drawers will be released in the future. The modules can be freely mixed, allowing you to design your own configuration of drawer sizes. Customize the system to suit your needs. Each drawer can in turn be divided into four sections for added configurability. Perfect for screws, bolts, and other small hardware.

The modules are attached to each other with connector bars. They slide in from the back; use the pointed side for easier insertion, and ensure the flatter (wider) side of the connector is parallel to the edge. If you have trouble with the tolerances, please contact me and I can provide connector bars with looser or tighter tolerances.

After you’ve decided on your drawer configuration, please add side and top panels for added strength and a neater look. Currently, a flat side panel is available, but if anyone is interested, I can create IKEA Skådis–compatible side panels for extra storage. For the top panels, there are two options to choose from: plain flat panels, or Gridfinity-compatible panels with a 4×4 grid for additional customization.

Thanks for printing and downloading!

“Steady Modular Desktop Drawer Storage — My Custom Build & Real‑World Results” MakerWorld has no shortage of storage systems, but this one by @antiphrasis stood out immediately. I’ve already put their engineering to the test with a 300‑spool L‑shaped filament rack (see last pic), so building this drawer system felt like a natural next step. Printed in Creality Hyper Series Red and Black PLA and modified with a custom mail slot, the setup is strong, modular, and sharp enough to be prominently displayed in my office. The photos show exactly how well it all comes together.

these work ridiculously well. would like if there was a way to “lock” them together so they don’t slide in/out on slippery services.

Thank you! Do you mean the drawers, or the modules? Unfortunately the drawers aren't locking, but the modules can be connected with the connector bars. Thanks!

the modules. they are held together, but it is not "locked" so they can still slide out if you push hard enough or do not secure to floor or something

I had a tiny bit of warping on the frame, but the drawer still fits. It's a bit tight, but I think I can fix it.

Sorry to hear about the warping. What printer do you use? Thanks!

P1S with Anycubic PLA filament. It's only on the big single drawer. I've printed the 2x2, the 3x2, the 3x1, and the drawers fit perfectly. I think if I surround the big single drawer with other units I can straighten it out.

After sloting it in around other units, the frame warp is gone. I now see the drawer itself is warped. I used some heat and was able to improve it. I do have a few suggestions. 1. The drawer feels tight. Maybe scale the drawer down 0.1% or something? 2. The front of the drawer feels wobbly. Would it be possible to reinforce just the front wall? I apologize for not seeing the warped drawer sooner. LOL bifocals.

Great model thanks! Using it to (finally!) organise all those pesky cables we all accumulate over the years but refuse to throw away cos you never know when you're going to need an old USB-A to Lightning cable right?!?! Not sure even a single draw is going to hold that 15m ethernet cable but ah well. I did find the first draw I printed a little "sticky" so I shaved a mere 0.5mm off the height and width of all the remaining draws and they glide effortlessly.

It's a good size, but it would be even better if it were a little bigger. It holds a lot.

I think this is finally exactly what I've been looking for to bring order to my Warhammer and painting station. I am going to research other solutions but the only thing missing is a desktop clamp option. I want my drawers locked in place at the far edge of the table and I dont have my painting desk against a wall. So I hope to clamp down the edge so that I can't accidentally slide it off the back, or if we have an earthquake I won't be left picking up a million little bits afterwards.

Thank you! That's interesting, a clamp hasn't crossed my mind. Do you have any good examples of one? :)

sure hope this link works: https://makerworld.com/models/1579791 basically a little flat area on the left or right, or somehow on the back or just have a clamp rig added directly would be the solutions, I think. for Jerryrigging, I was thinking of taping or gluing a small board or plastic sheet under this then clamping that down. Haven't gotten to printing this in the queue yet but looking forward to it

Thanks! That clamp looks really solid! I'll try to come up with a solution for you. I kind of have an idea what might work. :)
