How long has it been since you last printed an AMS model

Only 60g of filament (including waste) is needed to own a beautiful Nichirin sword

· AMS is required

· Overall length is about 28.5cm

· No hardware, but glue is needed

· Printed with a 0.4 nozzle, 0.08 layer height

Tanjiro's Nichirin sword from the anime Demon Slayer, retaining the Flame Hashira's Tsuba left by his elder brother, all modeled according to the original work

After studying all Nichirin swords, including official merchandise, the character '滅' (destroy) was either directly using a font or not cursive enough, lacking the feel of the original work. Therefore, the traditional character '滅' was hand-drawn, retaining the original cursive feel and perfectly restored

Red and gold: PLA Silk Gold
Black and gray: PLA Matte

It is recommended to print with PLA for fewer layer lines. PETG can also be printed, but details (such as the character '滅') might show color bleeding

*Please note: PLA and PETG do not adhere well to each other, do not print with both materials simultaneously

The pre-plated and supports have been optimized, supporting one-click printing from mobile

Different filaments have different sinkage rates, the handle part can be spliced without glue, but the connection between the blade and the handle requires glue

Here are the assembly steps

1. Remove the supports from the handle part (an utility knife can easily remove them)

2. Use the fixing block to secure the handle (to save material, the fixing block is printed with waste infill, multiple colors are normal)

3. Glue the blade together, just apply a small amount of glue along the centerline (pay attention to alignment, operate carefully, do not get it on your hands), you can use clamps to secure it, gluing in multiple steps is safer

4. Insert the tsuba into the handle, note that there is a stopper on the handle, make sure to push it all the way in with force (different filaments have different sinkage rates, if the fit is too loose here, you can add some glue)

5. Drip glue into the top of the handle, insert the blade, and the assembly is complete

*Regarding whether to release a 1:1 life-size MAX version of the Nichirin sword, it is still under consideration. On one hand, it involves a lot of model optimization work; on the other hand, due to excessive details, disassembled printing results in poor effects and more waste for multi-color printing. Currently, the pre-plated details with less waste in prototype testing are still insufficient, so we are still hesitating and weighing the options

If you really want a 1:1 life-size version, please comment and let me know!

In addition, the Cardcaptor Sakura Star Wand that many friends want has been successfully prototyped. Give a little boost to expedite updates!
