Description
Compact, single-piece reflection filter for additive manufacturing in ABS or PETG. Rear housing forms a rigid, vented shell sized to receive a 20×35×1–2 cm acoustic foam insert. Front opening preserves full mic clearance for large-diaphragm condenser mics in shock-mounts, including (but not limited to) Neumann U87 and Rode NT1 class bodies.
Mounting block threads directly between the microphone stand and the shock-mount. Load path keeps the mic isolated while positioning the foam panel behind and around the capsule’s rear axis. Geometry is tuned to break early reflections, suppress flutter, and damp room-induced smear without obstructing the mic’s polar pattern. Prints without supports.
