🦏🦥 Prehistoric Creature Trio – Rhino & Sloth Inspired Models

A heartfelt custom project turned into a MakerWorld upload

This set of three stylised prehistoric creatures was originally created for a very special request. A mother reached out to me asking whether I could design some models inspired by the types of animals her autistic son adores — particularly rhinos and sloths.

He also happens to be a huge fan of the general ice-age theme

What started as a one-off personal commission became something I really loved working on — the shapes, the exaggerated features, and the playful stance of each creature were sculpted to be both print-friendly, free standing and suitable for painting.  An ideal crafting moment

🧊 What’s Included

You’ll find three individual models:

• 🦏 Large-horned Rhino – chunky, expressive, heroic pose
• 🦥 Standing Sloth-creature – waving, cheerful, and full of character
• 🐃 Armoured Beast – a compact, powerful creature with bold lines

Each one is designed with smooth surfaces and sturdy proportions for easy FDM printing with minimal cleanup.

🖨️ Printing Notes

• Prints well in PLA at standard 0.2 mm layer height
• Supports depend on your slicer and orientation, but most users can print them with light support, I recommend the hybrid tree
• Perfect for painting, display, sensory play, or just adding personality to your workspace

❤️ A Model With Meaning

What makes these special to me is the purpose behind them: bringing joy to a child who finds comfort and excitement in these creatures. I decided to share them here so that other families, teachers, hobbyists, or collectors might enjoy them too.
